How To Keep Trust When Things Blow Up In Your Face.

We live in the real world where real things happen. We fall on our faces, and at times things just don’t work out for us. It doesn’t matter who you are, which God you pray to, what tree you worship, or how spiritual you are, some shit just isn’t going to work out the way we wanted or planned for.

I get it. It’s hard. It especially sucks when we really wanted that one thing (or several things) to work out and they don’t. So how can we look at this with a positive spin and use it to propel us forward instead of admitting defeat and throwing in the towel?

It’s simple.

It’s this or something better.

Things don’t work out for me all the freaking time, but it doesn’t matter. Why? I truly believe that no matter what is happening or what obstacle I am faced with, life is ALWAYS working out in my favour. Always.

We have two choices. We can choose to believe and trust that if something doesn’t work out the way we planned, then there is something better out there for us. There is also Option B – have a pity party and complain how life hates us and how nothing ever works out for us (the “boohoo life is hard” approach). I always choose Option A because, let’s be honest, there is nothing sexy about Option B.

Sometimes things don’t go our way for a variety of reasons. Sometimes we need to learn a hard lesson so that down the road, we are prepared and ready for what we have been asking for. Sometimes we need to realize that certain things need to fall away in order for us to have room in life for whatever it is we want. And sometimes we need to wait, be patient, and just have faith.

I will never claim to have all the answers (PS – don’t trust anyone that says they do), but I do know that God/The Universe/Our Spirits love us and want what’s BEST for us, even if we can’t always see it.

Join me in focusing on Option A, and let’s continue to move forward knowing that great things are always possible.
